For me it's always a toss-up between BMO, BNS, CIBC. How to decide which to invest more in? I'm sort of on a limited income at the moment, so it's rare that I can invest in all the banks at once.

I do like BNS' international operations, though.
And I've put a lot into BMO in the last six months - it's nice to see a bigger dividend now. CIBC has a good looking dividend right now, too. But its price has shot back up.

Yeah BMO had been a real hero among Canadian stocks for a long time (all of the banks have been) but BMO has really taken a beating over the past little while. It has made a fair recovery and I think its a fairly safe stock once again. Good choice.

Average Joe, I'm new, getting started dripping, and would really appreciate your thoughts on some Canadian Consumer Staples.

EMP.A - Empire Co Ltd A Nvtg
MRU.A - Metro Inc A
SAP - Saputo Inc

These are all on the S&P/TSX dividend aristocrat list, but so are the big 5 Canadian banks, and as I read from in your posts, not all of them are currently #1 choices.

Thanks,
Luciano

I enjoying reviewing your site. Your site focus tends to highlight Canadian dividend paying stocks while my site tends to focus on US dividend paying stocks. Would you like to exchange links? My site is located at http://disciplinedinvesting.blogspot.com/

Keep up the good work.
